LSJ Roadshow first rode into town as a mobile disco during Christmas 2015, for our local community group's Christmas fete. The DJ arrived resplendent in an elf costume and running the disco on the outside patio - the hall was too small for us and the visitors. And yes, it did snow (courtesy of a snow machine), start as you mean to go on.  During the years since, 'celebrities' such as Adam Ant, Showaddywaddy and Mr. Unicorn have made an appearance, whilst DJ Rex on the Decks is an episode best left for later discussion.

As you can tell, we try not to take ourselves too seriously, however, there's a time and the place for silliness.  Most often, we'll be working behind the decks, taking requests, dancing and occasionally mixing with guests but when needed, a professional image will greet you before, during and after your party.

We have performed at a host of birthday parties, community events around Essex and as the resident DJ for a LGBTQ+ support network since 2017.

On the topic of professional approach, we pride ourselves on the service we offer.  We will always arrive early for your event, prepared with backup equipment should things go (on rare occasion) pear shaped. Before your event, we will work with you to make sure all your wants & needs have been catered for.

Music, lighting and effects can all be adjusted to suit your requirements, sound volume will be adjusted to suit the audience and requests will be taken at the event, although we can't guarantee the request will be played unless advised in advance.  Our library contains songs from many genres, tracks with colourful language can be edited to suit your tastes.  Please note, we do use a range of LED lighting, with some strobing, so anyone with photo-sensitivity issues should be made aware of this.  The use of smoke or haze, confetti and foam, is often restricted at venues; speak to your site contact in this regard.

We keep everyones health and safety as a core principle; we hold PLI insurance at £10 million and have our equipment periodically PAT tested.  We carry a fire extinguisher, first aid kit and all equipment and cables will be secured. We ask that the client and guests do not handle any equipment, for your and our safety.
